Harvest is in full swing on the Palouse. One meets farm equipment constantly and fields are being emptied at a good rate.
August 14: I got 3 more pints of green beans and canned them today. There are quite a few tomatoes ripe: I may have to can some of them, too - there won't be a lot, but more than we can eat.
August 15: Starting to get ready for my visitors on Sunday - I am hosting a dye workshop for my Wool Gatherer gals.
August 16: I got the chicken houses cleaned and added more sawdust and straw, then I got a call from msH asking if she could come early (she will be my co-host in the dyeing workshop) so her mom brought her out in the evening.
August 17: it's shopping & market day and by the time I got home I was so tired. It is a good thing nearly all is ready for tomorrow so I can finish up that little bit in the morning.
