Rainy days & quilts - they just go together

I like my posts in color, pretty silly, huh? But it is my BLOG after all :~)
Today has turned really nasty. Although it started out just a cool late winter day on the Palouse, the rain began fairly early, then the wind kicked up & soon it was raining sideways. The umbrella is useless then even if it doesn't get blown inside out.

Now here's picture of the quilt top that I finished from Planet Patchwork's Super Bowl Sunday Mystery. The name of the mystery quilt was "In the Mood" - so mine is "In the Mood - 30's style", showing off my love for the 30's reproductions. It turned out so nice that I want to keep it for myself :~). Most of my quilting projects are gifts - I just don't have enough room in our house for all of my fabric/fiber art projects.

I got the pictures of the G-kids done - boy! they did not want to smile, well all but the little guy - & I'm still getting used to that digital camera, so the color is not quite right, but I think it'll be OK for the gift. I'm going to try to polish them a bit with the editing stuff on the photo software. We shall see what we shall see.

So, here's one of the pics. Any ideas anyone about improving.
