Mending Slowly

OK, so broken legs ARE NO FUN, but I am getting better. It does't hurt near as much & I am able to do a little around home. When I'm at work, I use my desk chair with wheels to get me around - I scoot backwards like a crab, LOL. I can use my crutches for a while, but because I can't put any weight on the walking cast yet, my arthritic shoulders just aren't up to that much abuse. So, I figured out at home that I can use my "wheely" chair where there is no carpet & I just extended it to my office when I went back to work. I am stuck in my office, though, so have to depend on my techs to do the other work. That's hard to do when one is used to being mobile.
I'm still working on my latest BBS - have about 2-3" on the foot on both, so it should be no time 'til they're done. I also am working on my sweater - the one from Creative Knitting (can't recall right now which issue) with the lace edging.
I want to get started on some more "me-socks" as I have some great yarn in my stash & I just couldn't resist getting some of the sale yarn that Darlene had - Apple Laine 2006 is out & 2007 is coming in, so she had it on sale. That is such great yarn!!!
Then, too, I got some of that lovely Kauhuna from Astrid so I could make one of thse great shawls that Jeanie designed.
I NEED TO RETIRE RIGHT NOW!!!!
But 2 weeks of vacation will have to do for now :~).
