more in the life of the BeanQueen

Well, here is the beginning of my "Wandering Cables". This is another of JeannieT's patterns. I have to say that I had not had problems with any of her patterns until this time 'round - & I'm sure it's me, not the pattern. For some reason I just kept making error after error, had to FROG the entire pair twice and do a whole lot of TINKing, too before I actually got to the instep, where I ceased the pattern and went back to plain old stockinette. The yarn is some Regia in the Forest Glen colourway, so it will be a nice fall sock. There will be a picture when they are done, too.
The broken leg is coming along, doesn't hurt now, & I go to see if I can take the cast off at night at this afternoon's appointment at the orthopedist. That will be a big help - this thing is a pain to sleep in, I'll tell you. I guess I'll have to get Mike to get a photo before I have it off, too, so all can see, LOL.
Our older grandson is living with us as he wanted to go back to school in Colton & his mom now lives in Palouse. It sure is different having a "kid" in the house again full-time. He goes home on the weekend, just like some college kids. He's a pretty good kid, so we don't have to worry too much - just the usual, I guess.
