Great News!!! I finished mom's shawl and got it blocked. I had to - at the last minute - rip out the bind-off and re-do it as it was not stretchy enough; I must have done it wrong, but I did not have time to trouble shoot. Here are photos of it drying:

OMG! It is truly a beautiful work of art. I love to see lace stretched out like this. One can truly look at it and say, "I did good!" Congrats!
