Murphy's Law operating at FULL potential -

it has become HOT & sunny in just a couple of days. AH! summer is back on the Palouse. It is really too bad that it had to be so cold & rainy for so long - & who knows it may start raining again, but for now it's hot for a while.
I can't tell what will happen with the garden - there are slugs galore out there and they have been chowing down on the plants. I have some "natural-type " slug bait, but with all the rain, I could not use it. There are beginnings of ripening strawberries - covers on to keep out birds. There are tons of pie cherries - again nets will be on this weekend to prevent birds. There are a few pears, a few apples, but it seems the plums have fallen off the tree - it does get to be discouraging after a while.
The potatoes & onions are doing well, but other thins not so well. Only about half the beans came up, even with pre-germinating and about 2/3 of the corn. I'm doing a few more germs, so hopefully there will be time to get them done. Weather MUST cooperate for this.
Not much going on in the craft department - time just does not permit after all the other work is done.
Sad me :~(
Weather update, LOL: It is supposed to be nice through weekend & Monday with a chance of T-storms on Tuesday - wonder will never cease! Of course, any time now we will start complaining that it is too hot!!
