there are HIGH winds and very dry conditions out here on the Palouse Prairie and we have fires burning in the grain fields and in the canyons. There is one a little way from out small town. The main roads are closed and we had to come home via the back gravel roads. Apparently is pretty bad. We will see what it is like in the morning.
For now, we "hunker down" and "ride it out".
