more rain today

and it's pretty cool. I brought my sweater to wear in the office and my raincoat to use walking between office and greenhouses. I'm bound & determined to be better at remembering this sort of things - as it is so often that my "memberer" doesn't work and I'm tired of being cold or wet or both! The bad memory is a trip-up for me so much of the time - I just found that although I had been remembering to put most of the information into the record of spending that I have to keep for the credit card purchases that I make at work, I had forgotten part of it and after a certain time one cannot correct the entries. Luckily it is not an earth-shattering boo-boo, but makes it difficult for the controller to get data entered quickly.
OK, off to do some job-related work and then home again for home-related work, LOL.

OK in the home-related work, 'tP' & I picked the rest of the corn and I made it into cream corn. Let me tell you about the wonderful new tool that I picked up on Saturday while I was shopping. It is a corn cutter/creamer - consists of a wooden frame holding a stainless set of a cutting blade, some shredding points and a scraper. It is the greatest thing for getting the corn ready to be frozen. One can make cut corn or creamed corn depending on how the 3 parts are adjusted. I made cream corn in less than a quarter of the time it took me to make it the old way WONDERFUL! I got 6 pints of cream corn from the rest of our corn and we ate 2 ears with the leftover stew we had for supper.
The rest of the evening has been taken up with some reading and a bit of spinning.

Wow! You get a lot done in a day, DrMolly. Makes my head spin.

This was not a successful garden year for us. No zucchini for bread, no fresh tomatoes. Sigh.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that.

I have to get a lot done in a day as when I'm working I have not time to do that sort of thing. Looking FOREWARD to retirement, LOL.

No matter what, we all have to choose where we spend our time. So many options!
