When it rains it pours - literally!!

the water "came down in buckets" today. We were able to get some things done in between showers, luckily. I picked the remainder of the cucumbers and turned them into dill pickles. 'tP' helped me pick the rest of the beans and I froze them for use in soup & stews. I got a bit of broccoli from the side shoots and stored it in the 'frig' to have for supper tomorrow. I got the rest of the cauliflower out of the garden and it is now in the freezer. I picked remainder of blueberries, some fall raspberries, and a few more strawberries, too.
We had lettuce & tomatoes from our garden with corn on the cob from our garden
and a lovely elk roast from one of 'the farmer's hunting trips'. What a wonderful feast we had - it is so nice to have this bounty.
I had to put the laundry up on racks in the house - it would have been futile to try drying it outdoors today. I got a bit of ironing done - I've promised myself not to let it pile up so that I have to do ironing marethons - UGH! 'tP' is being the housekeeper while he is out on medical leave (as it were) - which sure helps me out as I have so much gardening and process of the harvest to do at this time of year. Love that man, LOL.
I'm going to do a bit of knitting and spinning tonight while he is off bowling. I am also listening to podcasts and audio-books at the same time.
