Getting ready for the collecting trip to Florida

I'm nearly done at work getting the items ready - except I almost FORGOT the envelopes for collecting the seed!!!. I got the plant presses ready for the herbarium specimens, I got all of the permits and directions, etc. "in hand", I called and arranged for the boxes to be delivered to the first hotel - I thought I was "cooking with gas", LOL. How could I have let that "little thing" like the whole reason I was going, ie. 'to collect SEED', leave my brain?? Oh, I could collect, but then what would I have put them in and where could I have written important notes?

I am working on the Christmas Sock-a-thon; have the #2GS done and am working on the DD - only 5 more to go [EEK!]. It's sunny and clear here today and will be until next week; then supposed to be rainy, I just hope is no snow yet. Please not until AFTER I get home from my trip. As it is, I'm going to be in FL during hurricane season - I hope I don't "meet" any.

I finished up the plying of the NZ wool. It looks pretty good, but for one of the skeins that appears to be a bit over-plied. I hope it works out when I make something with it so it will not look too strange. I got about 220 yds of lace-wt (? it was 17 wraps per inch) and I think that is lace weight. So, maybe I can get a small shawlette from it.
