It's the 17th of December already, and

I'm going to get those socks done, but maybe they won't arrive in time for Christmas. I had thought that the DS & partner would come to the folks for a visit and I could get the gifts to them then, but now appears they are staying at home. So, although I'll get the socks done before "the DAY", I can't get them there in time. Bummer! Here are the lastest complete socks; one pair for the #1 GS and one pair for the DS.
I've started the DS partner socks - they're in red cotton as she doesn't like wool - and it's a yarn I've not used before. So, is taking a bit to get into the swing of things.
I had begun the #1GS GF socks, but got to the heel flap and figured since we aren't having them over until we get back home (Monday the 27th is our Xmas at home) I had better get the other ones done first.
REMIND me not to do this on such short notice again.
Our "puppy" Daisy is growing by leaps & bounds - she is now almost as big as Buster and will absolutely out-size him in just short order. I've not had before a dog as big as she promises to be. But she is so loveable and so friendly - just the way one wishes to have one's pet.
I'm making some holiday candies and cookies before we leave, too, so as to have some spirit infusing the house anyway, even if we're not there.

If you're like me, you'll have to be reminded about last-minute projects. I always want to do more than is realistic. But I also struggle with the concept that Christmas has to be a deadline for mailed gifts. There's so much commotion at Christmas. Isn't it okay to expand the season?
