Getting blown off the map, nearly

as the wind is really letting us have it - last night, all day today and forecast for all night, too. I felt some better today and went to work. I don't want to miss too much work as I need to save up my time off for the vacation to England. I've been working on the "sort-of vanilla" socks and spinning the 'Sunspot' merino fiber (on my little Turkish Delight spindle) into some yarn that I plan to 2-ply. Although I may have to 3-ply it if I can't get it a little bit thicker - it really is too thin - I don't want lace-weight, I want fingering weight!

Sorry to hear you were sick. Hope you've had a good weekend.

I'm not a yarn purist. I usually crochet afghans with 4-ply or baby yarn, but in my attempt to make doll clothes, I've had difficulty finding a nice sport-weight yarn. I've been using baby yarns which are not available in bright colors.
