this is the story of our life at "Rosevale on the Palouse Prairie" in eastern Washington State, and my love affair with all things fiber/fabric. 'BeanQueen' you might ask, well in my previous life I was the curator of the Phaseolus Germplasm Collection (beans native to the western hemisphere) in the United States. My lovely #2 sister gifted me with my 'autre nom'.

Some sun this weekend
so we got things done outside. It was still pretty cold so there had to be breaks for going in and getting hot tea & such, but HURRAH! I finished the tree pruning. Next weekend I'll start on the berry clean-up and trimming any winter kill, etc. on the shrubs (my poor 'rhodie' will need lots of cosmetic surgery after 'tP' pulled that roof snow down on top of it). In the spring cleaning arena I got the inside of all the windows in the kitchen/dining area. Previously I had cleaned all of the various decorations I have on top of my cupoboards and scrubbed the fronts of all cabinets and drawers. So, that's one room down and "just" the rest of the house to go . But, I truly don't mind doing it. Gives me a big rush of accomplishment when it's done. I also managed to review my freezer log and get some menues planned for this week. I really "winged" it last week as I had not been as organized as I usually am. Sometimes now I just get too tired and time runs away from me. I spent some time last night reading, too, so had an enjoyable evening. This evening while 'tP' is off at his bowling league I plan to do a bit of spinning and some more knitting on my baby socks, maybe start on the next pair of SFS socks, as well as a couple of rows on my own "sort-of vanilla" socks.

How industrious you are! I've been making sweaters for dolls. I cleaned one cabinet and need to get going with more.
