this is the story of our life at "Rosevale on the Palouse Prairie" in eastern Washington State, and my love affair with all things fiber/fabric.
'BeanQueen' you might ask, well in my previous life I was the curator of the Phaseolus Germplasm Collection (beans native to the western hemisphere) in the United States. My lovely #2 sister gifted me with my 'autre nom'.
I like every one of those quilts. I wish I could make the pictures bigger to zoom in.
Do quilters use patterns or is it mostly freestyle? The one with the skier is really neat! Was each skier sewn on individually or was it printed on the fabric?
Much too wet for gardening this weekend in Seattle! :(
Hallie, not only were they individual-the skiers-but the snowflake blocks are paper pieced & the border blocks are pieced too. I think you can copy the pictures from my blog and put them into some picture manager and get them bigger. I put them in small because there were so many people's work I wanted to share. I sometimes feel so sinsignificant next to some of these ladies!
