Most folks don't remember that the 12 days of Christmas start on December 26 and go through Epiphany - January 6.
So, here are my 12 days of Christmas:
December 26 is spent trying to get to get over being ill and attempting a stab a the clean-up.
December 27 and things are looking up, feeling so much better and actually got quite a bit of the mess under control. Plus we got snow and it feels more like a real winter.
December 28 gives us another proof that vehicles are sentient !! Last night as I was doing bills & budget I realized that there would be a little extra this month. I did not say this out loud, just thought it. When I got home from shopping for New Year's supper Mike is having the pickup towed to the garage. It would not start even after being plugged in all night (it is a diesel and has a block heater for cold weather).
The damn thing KNEW about the money 😒😒😒.
December 29: and on the fourth day of Christmas we got 3+ more inches of WET snow to pile on top the rest. No melting to speak of either. I got mending done and some more straightening up. I want to do some sewing so have de-clutter a bit more. My organizing system is working, it's just I still don't have enough room.
Indicative of more needed down-sizing.
December 30: the mister's BD. We will have meatloaf & baked potatoes for supper and, OF COURSE, his favorite banana creme pie.
December 31: a very quiet night for us. We go to bed early - you know seen one new year, seem 'em all.
