May 11

I'm back home.  It was a good break from everyday life here.

I was able to finish a bag which has inside plastic sleeves as well as fabric pockets to hold sewing or crafting supplies, plus a pin cushion inside as well.  It was not the best set of directions, but I got it done with only a couple of "design elements".

I also got some spinning accomplished on one of my spindles.
It's SW Corriedale wool from one of my Spunky Eclectic Fiber Clubs of a few years ago.  It's looking good.  I plan to 2-ply it with perhaps a strand of "wooly nyon" for some added strength.

I got home to find that it has been very hot here.  The critters were OK and the few plants in the garden fine, too.
But, as it is forecast to stay very warm I feel that it would be a waste of time & effort to plant peas.  They'll have to wait until next year.
I'm going for beans, carrots, beets, some more lettuce, and some favas, too.  I have to have the mister help me set up the rest of the garden beds and get the soil in them ASAP so I'll have enough room.
I am now planning to plant corn in the area that would have been for peas.
