June 1

June is coming in with the heat and sun.  I went to the farmer's market for a bit this AM and saw some friends.
I also visited a booth that had two gentlemen who made & sold kombucha.  Now I had tried it at the co-op and thought it was OK, but still it reminded me of flavored vinegar.  I was not sure I could drink it mostly, but their beverage was very fruity and pleasant.  They even had some "hard kombucha", LOL - who woulda' thought?  But I suppose there is the fact that humans will find a way to get alcohol from anything that can ferment.
I have to say that it was not bad at all.  Not that I am going to make a habit of drinking "the hard stuff", but now I've found some kombucha that I like and can get all of the probiotic benefits that it has.

I got all of the beans set out today, but I had made the mistake of germing them in fabric so as to not waste paper towels.  Not doing that again.  Many of the sprouts had roots into the fabric and were damaged beyond saving.  So, now I am germing a few more beans at the same time as doing the corn seed.  I got the pole bean tower set up, too, so they can grow to their heart's content.
