Monday - like all Mondays

It's raining again - got wet even with umbrella on trips to & from greenhouse.

My hands got tired of quilting last night so I started a cape for my older DGD. I'm using Paton's Fresco - it's a strange tube/ribbon like yarn of acrylic. She picked it & the color, a varigated orange/pink. It does seem to knit up nicely.

In the small town next to ours they have an annual sausage feed - it was yesterday and I helped out by cutting & serving pies. They always have a great crowd; it's how they make money for their community center & other activities. It's nice being part of small towns - one gets to do some fun stuff. Plus, the sausage AND the pie was good :~).

Yesterday I pruned 2 of my fruit trees, also, but had to quit sooner that I wanted as my hands were getting too cold. ONLY 7 more to go - plus all the berries & perennials, too.
