Time passes whether you are having fun or not :~) - although I do have to admit that so far I've been having some fun times. It's just that I get so busy I forget to check in here & let everyone know what I've been up to.
I'm working on the Maple Leaf socks for the KAL & the "booby socks" for the Sock of the Whenever group. It took me a L O N G time to figure out those darn leaves, but I finally got it & am "going to town" - I may even get them done by the end of July.

My garden is starting to produce a lot of veggies - I picked all of the spinach & froze it - it got way too hot for it & was starting to bolt. We've had fresh lettuce & cucumbers for salad & were treated to some fresh beet thinings. I've put some kale in the freezer - I was so surprised that I could still pick it as I had let it go to seed so I could save some & had bent over the plants to let them mature faster. What do you know???????? the plants sprouted new leaves on the joint above the seed pods & I have fresh kale. We really like the Irish dish colcannon, a mix of potato & kale, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm-good!
I have bean plants just starting to bloom**, carrots & beets growing & more cucumbers coming, too - we'll make "Irma pickles" - a really popular family recipe. Hmmmmmmmm, maybe I'll put some of these recipes on the blog - folks might like them. I've also lots of tomato plants, some peppers, too, plus nice onions & garlic coming along.
OK, that's enough for now - I'm gonna' go knit on those leaves :~).
