Always behind, I guess

I keep having so much work to do that I am "beat" by the time I get home. Then things like my BLOG just seem to take a back seat. I have been pretty busy at home, too. I have about half my apples thinned - that's a BIG job, let me tell you! The bees must have been on over-time when the apples bloomed. Although it looks as if there will only be a few pears, there will be hundreds of apples - & that is AFTER they are thinned! There looks to be quite a few plums, too. Well it's going to be a good fruit year. The strawberries are blooming & there are quite a few buds on the black raspberries. The red ones are still in such poor shape there won't be many. I am in process of getting them up in raised beds for better drainage - mayhap that will help the fungus problems.

The veggies are starting to get with it now, too, since it started to warm up. There is some spinach & a tiny bit of lettuce ready to go. We do love those fresh vegs!!!!

On the knitting front, am working on one of JeannieT's patterns - Best Wishes - of some very pretty blue variation cotton/wool yarn. I put the ruffle edge on the top of a short ankle height. They are going to make a cute pair of summer sox. I am plugging away at my cardigan, too.

In the quilt department, I've started to "sandwich" the quilt for my nephew Eric. I figured since I have no idea if or when he will get married, I would just make one for him on GP.

I am going to try to get some garment sewing in too when & if I can get some time to do so. This getting old stuff just isn't for sissies, I'll tell you - I keep waiting for that time when one doesn't need so much sleep..................................or is it possible that it is that one just can't sleep - OH, I hope not!
