more socks - this time for my young grandson, Daniel

Here are Daniel's feet in his new socks.

"Gramma, make me white socks with green D's on them."

"Don't you want another color? How about if you look at my yarn & see if there is another color to put on the heels & toes?"

" I want this one grammy - it's pretty!"

So, the "Spring Socks for Daniel" were born -

and YES they do have green D's -

I put his initials on the outside of each sock - IN GREEN :~).

We went camping at our favorite park this weekend - Mike has 3 days in a row off each 5th week. Although at the last minute he had to come back & work on Saturday. But we already had the reservations, so went anyway. I worked on my latest pair of SFS - the hybrid ones - and the sweater I am doing. I was going to do another pair of socks for me - one in the Molly's SoM collection, but I decided I didn't like the pattern I had picked & am going to change it to another for that yarn.

Thanks for your comment over on the Monkey KAL.

I appreciate your input. Size 2 just looked a bit wide for me, but 1 seemed like it might be too tight.

I actually found a pair of 1-1/2 needles. I'm going to give them a try.
