Too much work, not enough free time ;~)

Here is is again, me not having time to BLOG. I got back this Tuesday from Denver - at curators workshop conference - & had so much to catch up at work haven't had time to think about anything at all. And I was so tired from traveling that it is taking me a bit to catch up. Retirement keeps looking better all the time, LOL.
Anyway, I think by this weekend I'll have the house back in shape - it doesn't pay for me to leave, both the DH & DGS just forget what really should be done when I'm gone. Amazing isn't it??
I need to finish up my Christmas shopping so I can get the gifts sent off & also do the cards. I'm old-fashion enough that I still send real cards.
Weather here is mild; there was a bit of snow before I left, but by the time I got back it was gone. Not even too much freezing either. I don't know if we can expect a white Christmas or not. We do have up most of the lights - if you live in Colton, WA, you MUST decorate - it's a small town tradition here :~). Plus I like to put out my holiday decorations, but not for too long.

I am so intrigued by your occupation...I have several siblings and a niece involved in matters scientific but I have to ask what a Curator, U.S. Phaseolus Germplasm Collection, does, exactly?

Hi Shay,
I am responsible for the preservation & maintenance of the collection of beans-native to the western hemisphere-like green beans & dry beans, like limas & pintos-for the United States. If you want a long explanation visit the URL that is listed on the BLOG page at the top - "what the BeanQueen does".
