Well, as plying goes, I apparently am not very good :~( - much of my plied yarn is overspun - well, come to think of it, much of my singles were overspun, too.
Here are photos of the plied yarn: 
on the spindle and tied up into a skein off of the niddy noddy. I got ~ 144 yards, I think - it wrapped 72 times around my niddy noddy which has an 18" length, so 4 X 18 X 72 = 144, right?
