A nice - long weekend

In which things are being accomplished. 'tP' and I cleaned out the garden shed yesterday and got room for winter storage of tools, etc. I canned beans and made pickles, plus froze some peppers. He was busy outside doing some one-handed weeding and clean-up, too.

In the sewing room; I got the shirt for the #2GS all cut and marked, plus the interfacing, too. And I cut the center blocks for my pattern & gift to the ladies in my quilt group. I'm going to call it "the drMolly administration project", LOL. It will be a traditional pattern each month, plus a small piece of fabric from my stash to incorporate into the block, and I will include a short history of that particular block. I figure anyone who wishes to participate can do so and I will be happy if even a few choose to do so.

I got a little bit of spinning done and a tiny bit of knitting, too. Today I'm making banana bread and some lovely beans & rice for supper. We do love our beans around here, 'VBG'.

Oh yes, I got the rafters on the chicken house and bought some plywood for the roof. I got roofing material really cheap - broken packages from the lumber store - and will try to get the roof on today or tomorrow.
