We've jumped right into the hot weather out here on the Palouse Prairie.  Yesterday it was sunny & hot enough for folks to be playing in the water already - we rode the bike down to Little Goose Dam on the Snake River & stopped at Boyer Park for a Mother's Day picnic.  Kids were out in the water and in the sun with parents sitting on the bank enjoying themselves; lots of BBQs & picnics, too.
I had a good mom's day & I hope all of you did too.  When we got back we worked out in the yard & garden a bit, but then had to get ready for the new work week (AGAIN!! you know this is getting old - we so, so, so look forward to that retirement :~)
The garden is beginning to look like a garden, the strawberries are blooming & I'm hoping that the tiny fruits set onto the trees will "take" and not have been damaged by those couple of freezing nights.
Not much going on crafty-wise, but I did buy some fabric for a new dress - I'm going to try to get a muslin made pretty soon so I can get a good fit & then get onto the new fabric.  I'm trying really hard to get it done before next autumn - it is a summer fabric after all!

It's so nice to get out this time of year before it gets too terribly hot. I'd say it was perfect over the weekend on the Camas Prarie--just peeking at 80 degrees. I even got some sun on my face and arms! That's therapy for a Seattleite!
