Have I told you lately how much I enjoy retirement??
OK, OK, I know you are all tired of hearing it, LOL, but it is true. It is too bad one has to wait so long to have this much fun in life. Oh, I had fun before - life is not worth living if one does not enjoy it - but what a joy to have as much time as I wish to do what I wish!
We will be "sitting on" the #2 GS while his mom goes to have some repair surgery on her knee & ankle. An old injury had been mis-diagnosed and now she is having to have some work to attempt to fix the things that did not heal correctly.
Then next week we are taking a few days to go visit with my folks. 'tP' does not get time off right at Christmas - too much work - but he managed to take a few days of vacation time before, so we can go. We get to be the "present express", too, ferrying to and 'fro with gifts from east to west & back.
I am working furiously on finishing some of those old projects - the "deal" being that I've made myself do that BEFORE starting any new ones. So far, I'm sticking to it! I've nearly finished the SFS socks - doing the toes right now. And other things are coming along OK for now.

Discipline in all things, I always say. Finish before starting. I say that -- but life happens. I was happily plodding through projects thinking that I had until Christmas to finish when daughter set me straight -- they are coming the 19th, not the 26th. Suddenly my agenda changed.
