Knitting & such

Here is a photo of my latest Socks For Soldiers pair; this one was team knit (I get legs from a machine knitter and I add the feet).

Then I started another knitted bear - I've misplaced my directions for the crocheted bears -   :~(   - so am going back to knitted ones.

I attended the holiday party for my spinning group.  It was also a celebration of the life of one of the members who had unfortunately lost her life to cancer.  Her family gave all of her fiber & yarn to some of her closest friends.  They decided to share it for donations to the family.  So, I got some lovely fiber for spinning - some of it is silk and there is even some cashmere!  I hope to be able to make something lovely that will honor her memory.

There has been a bit more snow here, and it is cold.  I've been caring for the DD & #2GS's little goats as she had to have surgery to repair her ankle & is laid up for some time.  The #2's dad & I take turns "doing the chores" with his help.

It's windy here at Gilbert but not as cold as we had anticipated. Supposed to get colder and snow this afternoon. We'll see . . .
