On Saturday I did some house cleaning, finished the potholder for the swap, put some things into the "donation bin", & got ready to go to the Sweet Adeline's concert tonight. We like babershop quartet music & the adelines do that in the female form. Most of the day, however, I was resting as I am still not over this "whatever it is" illness.
On Sunday I worked at our Palouse Patcher's Quilt Show. I did a stint as a "white glove lady", aka the Quilt Police, and another 2 hours selling tickets for our raffle quilt. It was a lovely show as per usual with some spectacular quilts to see. I have to admit that I did some pocketbook damage at a couple of the vendor booths - but not really too bad - I got one pattern and a batik jelly roll that will be used for one of the quilts in the pattern I bought.
I still feel pretty tired, too, as I was on my feet for half of the time I was there. This evening I am going to just rest, maybe read some.

I know several people who have struggled with the same cold/flu this spring. In fact, my eldest sister's husband (87) is now in a nursing home as a result. (He needed nursing care anyway -- the cold was just the "straw.")
It's always good to show support for the vendors. I know you enjoyed participating -- glad you were able to go.
I finished my Christmas quilt over the weekend. It won't go to any show, but one has to start somewhere and I'm so pleased that it's finished and usable. Now I can move on.
Well, I enter some of my quilts, but since I don’t/can’t compete with professional quilters I figure I’ll never get one of the prizes. It doesn’t matter to me as I quilt because I enjoy it & I always do my best. Plus, I’ve NEVER had someone to whom I’ve gifted my quilts tell me they did not want it because I didn’t win prizes, LOL.
