More cool season prep

Today I canned pears (from our tree & the "wild" orchard), peaches (from farmer's market) and mixed fruit (pears, peaches & plums from the "wild" orchard).  Goodies for winter!

I sifted more composted manure, soil & sand to make soil mix for the gardens and I picked some raspberries.  Enough work for today for sure.

The DH sanded moldings on the outside of the house in preparation for painting it later.  There is so much work to be done around here!

We had corn again for supper - it's corn every day until it's gone, LOL.  When it gets a little bit more mature I plan to put some "great-gramma Fanny's cream corn" into the freezer.  Mmmmmmmmmm so good!

It's cooler now and it has turned to autumn, even though the date doesn't say so.  I can always tell by the feel :~).

Is there ever a time when there isn't so much to be done?

Not really LOL. But sometimes one does feel overwhelmed a bit.
