Last Day of May

Sunny & hot here at Rosevale on the Palouse.  

Later turning to cloudy & very muggy.

I got the beets & chard covered with Remay so as to keep out the leaf miner flies.  I have found that it is the only way to be able to get some beets and greens.  Otherwise the miners just nearly defoliate the vegetables and leave us with little or no beets and chard at all.  

I also worked on getting the cherry netting big enough to cover the whole tree.  I've already done the strawberries, but need to finish the blueberries and raspberries. 

Did a bit of laundry & housework, too.  All in all a resonable day, I think.
