making it on Monday

Well, today is the DH's first day on his "new" job as a janitor at the Colton School.  He will work full-time for 4 months while the regular janitor is off for medical reasons and then part-time.  We are hoping it will not cause him too much bother with his injured knee.  He wears his brace and plans to take plenty of breaks to keep the pain under control & add no more stress to the joint.

Yesterday I spent all day at the Dahmen Barn - home of Artisans at the Dahmen Barn - for their annual Old Fashion Sunday in September.  An event where they feature old fashion crafts & artists as well as their regular venue.  Our Wool Gatherers demonstrated spinning, knitting, wool preparation and dying of fiber.  We had lots of visitors and the children are always so intrigued by the processes.

Today I am focusing on a bit of out door work and then some crop processing - it's time to "do" beets & carrots.
