Very little to offer today & I'm getting really tired of this site pre-dating my entries!!

THIS ENTRY IS ACTUALLY TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
I came home early from work due to big-time headache and slept for ~3 hours. I'm still very tired and can't seem to get myself in gear to get anything done. 'tP' is off on his Tuesday bowling night and I'm reading e-mails, talking to one of the "board" from my quilting group about how we want to handle some of the details that are "hanging" and have not been dealt with recently. The fact that the group is a registered non-profit makes it more difficult to manage than just a group of quilters who get together to have a good time.
Not much else happening right now. I have some prunes drying; I still need to freeze my leeks and do things with the beets, carrots and chard. I did put home-grown carrots in my soup pot; I am making veggie soup from the remnants of the elk roast. I threw in a little bit of barley, some onions, some garlic, and home-grown corn & beans that I've stored in the freezer for just this sort of an occasion! Hey that means my soup is almost all home-grown!!! - just the organic barley from the co-op and the definitely organic elk meat that was a gift from the DD, so that makes it definitely ALL ORGANIC. Such fun, knowing that one's food can be so healthy. I plan to serve it with salad - from our garden lettuces & tomatoes - and some homemade whole grain dinner rolls.
EGADS! am I overboard or what??????

Sorry you didn't feel well and hope things are better now. I think you have a lot of interests and work very hard -- your job, your garden, knitting, spinning, quilting, and the guild interest, too. And you even built a chicken house! I, too, have a lot of interests and there definitely aren't enough hours in the day. It's pretty much over for me once I do the supper dishes.
