Falling down on the "Job"

I can't figure how I have lost my forward momentum???  Things were going swimmingly but suddenly came to a screeching halt.  I seem to be barely able to keep up with the work around the home & the food preservation.  There seems to be no time left for my crafts and I need to get the sweater done for my  English friends' second grandbaby.  And then, there's the wonderful surprise of our to-be great granddaughter!  I will finally get to make all of those little girl things that I missed with only grandsons.  Oh I love them so, but there is only so many boy things out there and little girl things.................................
Anyway, I'm going to try to focus and make a promise to myself to feel more organized, etc.
Day1:  I am past the armholes in the sweater and have about 2" on the body.  It's made of KnitPicks Comfy Worsted in the color Marlin.  I'm using the pattern Little Coffee Bean Cardigan (all in one color, though) by Elizabeth Smith.  It's working up quickly so that is one good thing.
I am also still working on the spinning that I started in the Tour de Fleece - it's 100% South African Fine Wool roving from the November 2011 Spunky Eclection Fiber Club color is Istanbul Sunset, but I'm thinking - as I look at the spun singles - that the yarn is going to look very different.  But then that is often the case.
Wish me luck!

A great-granddaughter! What a thrill! These things just seem to happen in spite of us, don't they? I hope you live close enough to enjoy her.
