The western fires are still extremely bad. Smoke covers our area, making it dangerous for outside work. Folks are being evacuated from endangered areas - it is heartbreaking the destruction that is occuring.
I've made 3 Qts. of dill pickles this AM. Yesterday was spent entering things into the Palouse Empire Fair - aka the Whitman county fair. I entered spinning, knitting, felting, quilting, and some food preservation. On Saturday our group, the Wool Gatherers will be demonstrating fiber crafts and we will have a shearing & spinning demonstration.
Prayers for all our fire fighters and our distressed Nature.
